Tallahassee, FL – Florida State cornerback Greg Reid has been dismissed from the football team for violating team rules.
Details were not provided in the statement from head coach Jimbo Fisher.
Reid, who missed a game last year for violating team policy, was arrested last month for marijuana possession.
The Georgia native was a preseason All-ACC selection as a return specialist and needed only 313 yards to match Deion Sanders' school record for career punt return yardage. He also started nine games at cornerback last season and picked off a pair of passes while registering 32 tackles.
In 38 games over three seasons, Reid had seven interceptions and 97 tackles. He also scored on a punt return once in each season.
