FIFA approved the World Cup 2014 group- stage kickoff times Thursday, with games starting from noon to 9 p.m. (ET).

The majority of the group games will begin from noon to 6 p.m., with the event starting June 12 in Sao Paulo with host Brazil playing a yet to be determined opponent at 4 p.m.

The final is July 13 in Rio De Janeiro at the Maracana Stadium, which hosted the 1950 final between Brazil and Uruguay. Uruguay edged Brazil, 2-1, in front of 200,000 fans to win its second World Cup.

FIFA also announced the draw for the 2014 World cup will be held Dec. 6, 2013.
