LOS ANGELES – Jamierra Faulkner scored a season-high 27 points and Epiphanny Prince had 15 to help the Chicago Sky beat the Los Angeles Sparks 90-83 on Tuesday night.
Faulkner scored 17 points in the second half, including a jumper at the top of the key with 53 seconds remaining to give the Sky an 80-75 lead. The Sparks missed their next two shots and Prince, who had all of her points in the second half, made five free throws in the final 36 seconds as Chicago (8-8) ended a six-game losing streak in Los Angeles.
Nneka Ogwumike had 26 points and six rebounds to lead the Sparks (6-9) and Candace Parker had 22 points.
Prince and Faulkner made back-to-back 3-pointers out of a timeout to give Chicago a 76-70 lead.
Chicago was without leading scorer Elena Delle Donne (lyme disease) and WNBA assists leader Courtney Vandersloot (sprained knee).
