Budapest, Hungary – Top-seed Sara Errani posted a 7-5, 6-4 win over unseeded Russian Elena Vesnina in Saturday's final at the $220,000 Budapest Grand Prix tennis event, a clay-court French Open tune-up.
Errani converted six of her seven break point chances in the one-hour, 43- minute match.
The Bologna, Italy native is a perfect 3-for-3 in finals this year. She won in Barcelona three weeks ago and also captured the title in Acapulco.
Errani improved to 5-3 in her career finals, and Saturday's triumph netted her $37,000.
Vesnina fell to 0-6 in title matches. She reached her first final since losing to Caroline Wozniacki last year in Charleston.
