Raleigh, NC (SportsNetwork.com) - Few things have gone right for the only winless team in the NHL thus far.
On Wednesday, the injury bug struck again, causing the Carolina Hurricanes to place captain Eric Staal on injured reserve, retroactive to Oct. 11.
To fill the roster spot, the 'Canes recalled forward Brody Sutter from Carolina of the American Hockey League. A member of the famous hockey family from Viking, Alberta, the 23-year-old, made his NHL debut in Carolina's 2-1 shootout loss against the New York Rangers on Oct. 16.
