The Philadelphia Eagles will be without two weapons from their projected regular season arsenal when they kick off the preseason on Sunday night. In addition to Sam Bradford, tight end Zach Ertz will miss the game with a groin injury he suffered this week in practice.

Ertz's injury is severe enough to keep him out for the entirety of the Eagles' preseason, but he is targeting a return to action in Week 1 of the regular season. According to Geoff Mosher of CSN Philly, Ertz has a core muscle injury.

Ertz had once again made a lot of noise this offseason and it had carried over to training camp practices. Ertz has constantly made plays in the passing game, and offensive coordinator Pat Shurmur praise him for his improved blocking earlier this week. The Eagles are still expecting big things from their third year tight end in 2015.
