London, England – QPR midfielder Kieron Dyer could be out until December after he suffered complications in his rehab from a foot injury.
Dyer has had a long string of injury issues throughout his career and he was forced from the field after just six minutes on the opening day of the season in QPR's match with Bolton.
The 32-year-old seemed to be responding well to treatment and was expected to return to action in September, but the latest setback means more time on the sideline for the former England international.
"It's not looking good for Kieron, and it looks as if he will need a lengthy rehab," QPR manager Neil Warnock told the Fulham Chronicle. "There seems to be a new ligament problem at the front of his foot, and he has been in a lot of pain."
Dyer has played in just 30 games over the past four seasons for West Ham and Ipswich Town after a lengthy stay with Newcastle.
