Anaheim, CA – The Anaheim Ducks signed defenseman Mark Fistric to a one-year contract on Tuesday. Per club policy, no financial terms of the deal were disclosed.
The 27-year-old has scored three goals with 29 points and 252 penalty minutes in 282 career games with the Dallas Stars and Edmonton Oilers.
The Edmonton native was selected 28th overall by the Stars in the 2004 NHL Entry Draft. The 6-2, 233-pounder played in 25 games for the Oilers last season recording six assists. He was acquired from Dallas in January for Edmonton's 2013 third-round draft pick.
This signing will help add depth to Anaheim's blue line after it lost veteran Sheldon Souray for four-to-six months with a torn ligament in his right wrist.
