Anaheim, CA (SportsNetwork.com) - Anaheim Ducks forward Patrick Maroon will be sidelined for four weeks with a sprained medial collateral ligament in his knee.
The team revealed the extent of Maroon's injury Thursday, a day after placing him on injured reserve.
Maroon, 26, was injured on a hit from Sabres defenseman Josh Gorges during the second period of Monday's 5-1 victory at Buffalo. He had three assists through the first three games of the season.
