ATLANTA (AP) — Sancho Lyttle had 24 points and 12 rebounds, Angel McCoughtry scored 23 points and the Atlanta Dream defeated the San Antonio Silver Stars 90-83 Sunday.

Lyttle was 8 for 8 at the foul line and McCoughtry went 9 for 10 as Atlanta (8-3) converted 23 of 30 after going into the game as the WNBA's worst free throwing shooting team. San Antonio (3-6) had just nine attempts, making all of them.

Lyttle scored eight points during a 14-0 third-quarter run and the Dream led 66-55 going into the final quarter and 86-75 with just over two minutes remaining.

Iziane Castro Marques scored 12 points for Atlanta while Shalee Lehning had 10 points and eight assists and Alison Bales added 10 points and eight rebounds.

Sophia Young had 24 points for San Antonio and Chamique Holdsclaw scored 15, including 10 in the fourth quarter. Michelle Snow and Edwige Lawson-Wade each had 14 points and Becky Hammon scored 11.

Young had 13 points in the first half as San Antonio led 23-20 after the first quarter and 39-37 at intermission despite getting just three points from Holdsclaw, who hit one of the Silver Stars' four first-quarter 3-pointers. She missed her other six shots.

McCoughtry had 11 of her 13 first-half points in the opening quarter, hitting four of her first five shots. Castro Marques had just two points for Atlanta at halftime, shooting 1 of 7.
