Augsburg, Germany (SportsNetwork.com) - Borussia Dortmund bounced back from its opening-weekend defeat to Bayer Leverkusen on Friday by notching a 3-2 victory at Augsburg.
Marco Reus got Dortmund off the mark after 11 minutes and he turned provider three minutes later as Sokratis Papastathopoulos doubled the advantage.
Adrian Ramos added a third goal after the break for Dortmund, but Augsburg didn't go quietly as Raul Bobadilla and Tim Matavz each scored in the last 10 minutes for the visitors.
After being held without a goal in the opener against Leverkusen, Dortmund's first goal of the season came in the 11th minute when Reus exchanged passes with Kevin Grosskreutz and slotted the return ball past goalkeeper Marwin Hitz.
Dortmund won a corner kick a few minutes later and made the most of it as Reus curled a ball into the box that allowed Papastathopoulos to get up and head the ball home from six yards.
The visitors let off a bit after the break but still managed to score a third goal in the 79th when a low shot from Henrikh Mkhitaryan was kept out by Hitz, only for Ramos to follow up and score on the rebound.
Bobadilla scored a few minutes later to make it 3-1 and Matavz headed home another goal shortly before the final whistle, but Roman Weidenfeller made sure the points went home with Dortmund with a late save to preserve the win.
