Dortmund, Germany – Borussia Dortmund conceded an early goal but charged back to score six without reply in a 6-1 win at Cologne on Sunday that keeps the defending champions five points clear of second-place Bayern Munich.
Milivoje Novakovic handed the hosts a surprising lead after 13 minutes, but Lukasz Piszczek scored midway through the opening half to level the match at 1-1.
The visitors then completely dominated the second half with Shinji Kagawa starting the scoring barrage with a goal in the first minute.
Robert Lewandowski made it 3-1 in the 51st and Dortmund really turned on the style over the final 15 minutes with three more goals to coast home.
Ilkay Gundogan scored in the 77th and Kagawa added his second goal of the contest two minutes later before Ivan Perisic capped the scoring six minutes from time.
Dortmund's unbeaten run has now reached 21 games, with Cologne sitting only one point above the drop zone.

Stuttgart, Germany - Stuttgart moved into seventh in the Bundesliga table on Sunday after Cacau's 77th-minute goal helped the club to a 1-0 win over Nurnberg at the Gottlieb-Daimler Stadium.
The win moves Stuttgart to within one point of both Werder Bremen and Bayer Leverkusen as the race for European places heats up, while Nurnberg has lost its last three games to fall out of contention.
Adam Hlousek nearly put the visitors ahead in the opening 10 minutes but his shot crashed against the crossbar.
Nurnberg generated the better chances but it was Stuttgart that claimed all three points when Cacau took a pass from Tamas Hajnal and slotted his shot past goalkeeper Raphael Schafer from just inside the penalty area.
