Dolphins sign S Jones to contract extension

The Miami Dolphins and Reshad Jones agreed on a multi-year contract extension Tuesday, keeping the fourth-year safety under contract through the 2017 season.

Jones was selected by the Dolphins in the fifth round of the 2010 NFL Draft and has racked up 182 tackles, six interceptions and four sacks in 44 games, including 30 starts over the last three seasons.

The University of Georgia product is listed as Miami's starting safety on the team's most recent depth chart.
