Marshall made the announcement on his Twitter account, stating "Just agreed with the dolphins on a 3 yr deal they made me stay in Miami lol."
The six-year veteran has appeared in 96 career games with the Carolina Panthers and Arizona Cardinals, recording 500 tackles and 17 interceptions with two returned for touchdowns.
