Skylar Diggins scored 20 points and No. 12 Notre Dame used an early 14-2 run to build a substantial lead en route to an 82-50 victory over Pittsburgh on Saturday.

Devereaux Peters added 15 points and 10 rebounds, and Natalie Novosel scored 15 for the Fighting Irish (15-4, 4-1 in Big East), who beat Pittsburgh (9-8, 1-3) for the 20th time in 23 games.

The first-half run, ended by fast-break baskets by Diggins, allowed the Irish to break out of a 6-all tie and take a 20-8 lead. They led 50-19 at halftime.

Notre Dame, which had lost its last two at Pitt, shot 46 percent (30 of 64) to Pitt's 32.7 percent (16 of 49) and led 46-28 in rebounding.

Taneisha Harrison scored 10 for Pitt.
