Entering 2015, the Miami Dolphins expected rookie wide receiver DeVante Parker to be a playmaker on offense. Unfortunately, he's had to deal with a foot injury that required surgery and has been limited since rookie mini camp.

Parker has the talent to be a solid receiver for the Dolphins, he just hasn't been healthy enough to practice regularly and get acclimated to an NFL offense. Through two regular season games, Parker has just one reception in limited action.

On Wednesday, he admitted that he may not be a regular contributor until later in the season.

"I'm getting reps here and there," he said via Andrew Abramson of the Palm Beach Post. "The more games I play, the more reps I'll probably get toward the end of the season."

On the plus side, Parker also gave an update on his foot.

"The foot feels good," he said. "The foot is 100 percent now."

If Parker is going to have an impact as a rookie, he'll likely need to play well in practice first to earn reps. He's buried on the depth chart behind a group of talented receivers that Jarvis Landry, Kenny Stills, and Greg Jennings.

The sooner the Dolphins are able to have Parker become a regular contributor, the better. For as many weapons as the Dolphins have on offense, they've still struggled to score points.
