Mesa, AZ – The Chicago Cubs have agreed to terms with 20- old Cuban pitcher Gerardo Concepcion on a five-year major league contract.
Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
The 6-foot-2 southpaw won the Cuban National Series Rookie of the Years award last season, posting a 10-3 mark to go with a 3.36 earned run average in 21 games -- 16 starts -- for the Industriales.
