The Chicago Cubs acquired infielder Ian Stewart and pitcher Casey Weathers from the Colorado Rockies for outfielder Tyler Colvin and infielder DJ LeMahieu.

Stewart is a five-year veteran in the majors and in 432 games, all with Colorado, he has batted .236 with 54 home runs and 187 RBI.

Weathers has yet to play in the majors and was Colorado's first round draft pick, eighth overall, in the 2007 draft out of Vanderbilt.

Colvin has spent three years in the majors, all with Chicago, and over 221 games he has belted 26 home runs with 78 RBI to go with a .215 batting average.

LeMahieu, 23, made his first appearance in the majors last season and over 37 games he batted .250 with four RBI and three runs scored.
