Georgia running backs Isaiah Crowell, Carlton Thomas and Ken Malcome have been suspended one game for violating team policies.

The suspensions were announced Tuesday and will be served during Saturday's game against New Mexico State.

Head coach Mark Richt did not specify what the players did to earn their suspensions, but said in a statement the team has "certain standards in all that we do and their actions do not reflect the Georgia way."

"They will serve their suspensions, learn a lesson and I'm sure be better men for it," the coach said.

Crowell leads the Bulldogs with 689 yards rushing and four touchdowns, while Thomas has rushed for 200 yards and two TDs and Malcome has carried the ball just once.

Georgia has won six games in a row, improving to 6-2 after season opening losses to Boise State and South Carolina.
