The Dallas Cowboys signed tight end year contract extension on Sunday.

The deal is worth $37 million, with $19 million in guaranteed money.

Witten is coming off his second straight 94-catch season and his third career 1,000-yard receiving campaign.

The seven-time Pro Bowler announced the signing on his Twitter account early Sunday, stating, "I am blessed to say that I will retire a cowboy! Thx to the jones family and all the cowboys staff! True honor to put on the star!!"

Witten was taken in the third round of the 2003 NFL Draft and has spent his entire career with Dallas.

He has caught 617 passes for 6,967 yards and 36 touchdowns in his career.
