Annecy, France – Evian fired manager Pablo Correa on Monday after he failed to guide the club to a win in any of its first four Ligue 1 games this season.
Correa took over in January for Bernard Casoni after a successful nine-year stint with Nancy and helped Evian to a ninth-place finish.
But that success has not carried over to this campaign as the club has earned just one point from four games, with the latest setback coming on Sunday in a 2-0 defeat at Ajaccio.
"The board of Evian Thonon Gaillard FC confirms that Pablo Correa has been relieved of his duties as coach of the team in light of the poor current results," read a statement on club's website.
Sporting director Pascal Dupraz will assume control of the first-team duties.
