Connecticut defeats Cincinnati 80-46

Maya Moore scored 23 points to help No. 2 Connecticut to an easy 80-46 victory over outmanned Cincinnati on Saturday.

Tiffany Hayes added 16 points for UConn (20-1, 9-0 Big East) which won for the eighth straight time since having its 90-game win streak snapped in a loss to Stanford on Dec. 30.

Moore finished 11-for-14 shooting and had six assists for the Huskies, who have won 59 straight games against Big East Conference opponents.

Cincinnati (8-12, 1-7 Big East) had just seven available players due to injury. The Bearcats were led by Kayla Cook's 13 points.

The Huskies began the game with an 8-0 run and never looked back. Moore scored 19 points in the first half as UConn raced out to a 40-24 halftime lead.

Cincinnati was held scoreless for the first 7:49 of the second half.
