Indianapolis, IN (SportsNetwork.com) - The Indianapolis Colts lured away free-agent center Phil Costa on Thursday.

No terms of the deal were disclosed, but multiple sources indicate it is a two-year contract.

"Phil is a young, hard-nosed and physical center who has shown he can play at a winning level in our league," said Indianapolis general manager Ryan Grigson. "He will provide strong competition at the center position."

The 6-foot-3, 302-pounder had spent his entire four-year career with the Dallas Cowboys, participating in 26 games with 20 starts. He was the main man under center in 2011, starting in all 16 contests for the franchise and helping allow Tony Romo to throw for more than 4,000 yards and record a career-best 102.5 passer rating.
