Fort Collins, CO (SportsNetwork.com) - Daniel Bejarano contributed 15 points with eight rebounds and six assists in 24th-ranked Colorado State's 75-54 win over Charleston Southern.
The Rams (12-0) set the record for the longest single-season winning streak in school history while also winning their seventh straight at Moby Arena.
John Gillon supplied 14 points off the bench and Stanton Kidd added 13 in the win.
"I thought that was a good win for us," Rams head coach Larry Eustachy said. "It doesn't take a genius to see that we're extremely unselfish and we would rather pass than shoot."
Charleston Southern (5-5) completed a winless three-game road trip and has now lost four straight away from home. The Buccaneers opened the season with an overtime win at Ole Miss.
Saah Nimley led all scorers with 18 points in the loss.
Charleston Southern hung around in the early going as Cedrick Bowen's layup cut its deficit to 11-9 just over 6 1/2 minutes into the game. Kidd and Bejarano then knocked down a 3-pointer each as part of an 8-0 burst.
Arlon Harper's trey trimmed the Bucs' deficit to four with nine minutes remaining, but the visitors managed just two field goals the rest of the half.
Gillon hit back-to-back triples during the 19-6 run which closed the half for the Rams.
Colorado State put the game away early in the second, scoring the first 12 points of the half to stretch the margin to 50-21. Charleston Southern went scoreless for a span of 8:40 bridging the first and second halves.
Paul Gombwer pulled down a game-high 10 rebounds in the setback ... Colorado State shot 49 percent from the floor and limited the Bucs to 34 percent shooting ... The Rams' bench outscored Charleston Southern's reserves 29-15.
