Los Angeles, CA (SportsNetwork.com) - Los Angeles Clippers forward Blake Griffin will undergo surgery Monday to remove a staph infection in his right elbow, the team announced Sunday.

The procedure is scheduled to be performed by Dr. Neal ElAttrache in Los Angeles.

The Clippers' leading scorer will be re-evaluated after the All-Star break.

Griffin, 25, is averaging 22.5 points, 7.5 rebounds and 5.1 assists in 51 games this season.

Portland's Damian Lillard will replace Griffin on the Western Conference All- Star team.
