Clippers claim Billups off waivers, re-sign Jordan

The Los Angeles Clippers claimed point signed restricted free agent center DeAndre Jordan on Monday.

A five-time NBA All-Star, Billups averaged 16.8 points, 5.4 assists and 2.6 rebounds in 72 games with Denver and New York last season.

The 14-year veteran has averaged 15.5 points, 5.6 assists and 2.9 rebounds in 982 career games with Boston, Toronto, Denver, Minnesota, Detroit and the Knicks, who waived the 35-year-old on Saturday.

The Clippers matched the offer sheet presented to Jordan by Golden State over the weekend. He has averaged 5.6 points and 5.7 rebounds in 203 games with the Clippers, who chose the Texas A&M product in the second round of the 2008 draft.
