Manchester, England (SportsNetwork.com) - Manchester City striker Edin Dzeko faces up to three weeks out of action after suffering a calf injury, according to Bosnia-Herzegovina national team physician Reuf Karaberg.
Dzeko, 28, limped off the field just four minutes after coming on as a second- half substitute in the Citizens' 2-2 draw with Queens Park Rangers at Loftus Road.
He has already been ruled out of Bosnia-Herzegovina's European Qualifier against Israel and could miss City's return to Premier League action on Nov. 22 against Swansea City at the Etihad Stadium.
"It's a very serious injury and requires the kind of treatment whose time- frame unfortunately rules out a quick return," Karaberg said.
"I am extremely disappointed with the news that I will miss this match but I have faith in my teammates and believe that they have it in them to get a result," Dzeko added.
Dzeko has made 10 Premier League appearances for City this season, scoring two goals.
