Kansas City Chiefs tight end Tony Moeaki sustained a fractured shoulder during Saturday's preseason win over Pittsburgh, head coach Andy Reid confirmed Monday.

Reid said during his Monday press conference that Moeaki was undergoing further exams on the injured shoulder and that a timetable for his recovery would be established after the results of the tests are in.

Reid, in his first season on the Kansas City sideline, did not specify when the injury occurred, but said Moeaki was "tackled on that spot (on his shoulder) and then landed on it."

Moeaki hauled in 33 passes for 453 yards and one touchdown in 15 games (14 starts) last season, his third with the Chiefs since being drafted by the team in the third round of the 2010 draft.
