Kansas City, MO (SportsNetwork.com) - Kansas City Chiefs tight end Demetrius Harris underwent surgery on Wednesday to repair a fractured foot.

Harris was felled during warmups prior to Sunday's 17-13 victory over the Buffalo Bills at Arrowhead Stadium. Chiefs head coach Andy Reid told the KC Star following the game that Harris was "done for a few weeks at least."

Harris took to his Twitter account following the procedure to say: "Surgery went perfect, thanks for all the prayers. The road for a speedy recovery starts. Blessed!!"

The rookie out of Wisconsin-Milwaukee totaled three receptions for 20 yards in eight contests this year.
