London, England (SportsNetwork.com) - Chelsea confirmed Thursday that the club has reached an agreement with FC Basel for the transfer of midfielder Mohamed Salah.
Salah, 21, faced Chelsea twice in Champions League action this season, netting the equalizer when Basel earned a 2-1 win at Stamford Bridge on Sept. 18 and getting the lone goal in a 1-0 victory at home to Jose Mourinho's side on Nov. 26.
The move is subject to the Egyptian international agreeing to personal terms and completing a medical.
