LEXINGTON, Ky. – A University of Kentucky cheerleader was injured in a fall late in the fourth quarter of the Wildcats' 59-14 victory over Tennessee-Martin on Saturday.
Details weren't immediately available about the cheerleader's condition. Her fall brought a hush over the crowd, and applause slowly grew as medical personnel stabilized the woman's head and neck and she was placed her on a board for transport to a hospital.
The cheerleader lay motionless for several moments before flashing the thumbs-up as she was carted out of Commonwealth Stadium.
