Chargers place DE Castillo on injured reserve

San Diego, CA – The San Diego Chargers placed defensive end Luis Castillo on injured reserve Wednesday.

Castillo injured his tibia in the Chargers' season-opening victory over the Minnesota Vikings and has not played since.

Vaughn Martin has started in Castillo's place, recording 37 tackles through 12 games for San Diego.

Castillo has spent his entire seven-year career with the Chargers, amassing 210 tackles, 19 sacks and two interceptions.
