INDEPENDENCE, Ohio – Cavaliers acting general manager David Griffin hopes to have the "interim" removed from his title soon.

Griffin, who took over Cleveland's franchise when Chris Grant was fired in February, says he's "very confident" he'll move forward under owner Dan Gilbert. Griffin stressed that he, coach Mike Brown and others are "under review" after the Cavs failed to make the playoffs for the fourth straight season.

Griffin wouldn't speculate about his future in a news conference Tuesday. He says he's only committed to improving the Cavs following a disappointing 33-49 season.

Brown's future with the Cavs remains uncertain. Gilbert re-hired him last summer after firing him following the 2010 season.
