Catania, Italy – Catania has secured the services of striker Sebastian Leto on a free transfer.
The 26-year-old has been a free agent since leaving Greek side Panathinaikos in January, although terms of the deal were not disclosed.
"Catania can confirm reaching an economic agreement for the next few seasons with the striker Sebastian Eduardo Leto," read a statement from the club.
Leto spent three years at Liverpool before moving to Greece, where he also featured for Olympiakos during a loan spell.
The Argentina native scored 23 goals in 64 appearances for Panathinaikos, although he missed a large portion of time with a serious knee injury suffered last January.
Catania resides in ninth place in Serie A with six games to play.
