Knicks star forward Carmelo Anthony sprained his right ankle early in the third quarter of Thursday's game against the Grizzlies.

In the first half, Anthony injured his left wrist but played through the pain. But two minutes into the third quarter, the four-time All-Star rolled over his right ankle trying to avoid a diving Marc Gasol.

Anthony limped to the locker room shortly thereafter and did not return. The severity of the injury will be determined by an MRI in the near future.

Coming into the game, Anthony ranked third in the NBA in scoring (26.6 ppg) while adding 6.5 rebounds and 4.5 assists per contest.

He had 14 points on 6-of-11 shooting on Thursday.
