Carmelo Anthony says he will defend his Olympic gold medal.

Anthony said during a U.S. national team scrimmage at Radio City Music Hall that he plans to play in 2012 in London.

"Of course," Anthony said in an interview on the court during a timeout. "I'm locked in. I'm committed."

Anthony helped the Americans win gold in Beijing, and also played in the 2004 Olympics. But the 2008 team is taking this summer off, leaving a young U.S. squad to try to win the world championships.

Anthony and U.S. teammates LeBron James, Dwyane Wade, Chris Paul and Amare Stoudemire sat on the sideline during the workout.

"I wish we were here playing on this court," Anthony said.
