The St. Louis Cardinals are in jeopardy of losing their entire outfield to injury after Jason Heyward left Monday's game in the third inning due to left hamstring tightness.

Normally the Cardinals' right fielder, Heyward was making his first start in center field because earlier Monday the club placed rookie sensation Randal Grichuk on the DL with a strained elbow. Veteran left fielder Matt Holliday is also on the DL with a quad strain.

Heyward, who hit two home runs Sunday, was replaced by rookie Tommy Pham, who was recalled Monday from Triple-A Memphis to replace Grichuk.

When Heyward injured the hamstring is uncertain. He struck out to end the first inning and did not make a play in center field.
