Cardozo pens new Benfica deal

Benfica has signed striker Oscar Cardozo to a contract extension that runs until 2016.

Cardozo is the club's leading scorer with 13 goals so far this season, and he has netted 62 over the past three campaigns in all competitions for Benfica.

The 29-year-old arrived in Lisbon in 2007 from Argentine side Newell's, and he joins teammates Nemanja Matic and Jardel in signing new contracts with the club this week.
