Tempe, AZ (SportsNetwork.com) - The Arizona Cardinals signed linebacker Marcus Benard, running back Jonathan Dwyer and center/guard Ted Larsen on Wednesday.

Hours after officially announcing a five-year pact with offensive tackle Jared Veldheer, the Cardinals inked the three players to shorter deals, with Benard and Dwyer each agreeing to one-year contracts and Larsen signing on for two.

Benard played in 12 games for Arizona last season and recorded 16 tackles, 2 1/2 sacks and a forced fumble. He spent three seasons with the Cleveland Browns from 2009-11 and was released by the Patriots in training camp last year.

Dwyer has spent his entire four-year career in Pittsburgh after the Steelers selected him as a sixth-round pick in the 2010 draft. The Georgia Tech product has totaled 971 rushing yards with two touchdowns and owns a 4.2 yard per carry average.

Larsen was also taken in the 2010 draft and played four years in Tampa Bay, where he started in 31 of the 60 games he has played.
