Carballo leads by 3 in Colombia

Cartagena, Colombia (SportsNetwork.com) - Miguel Angel Carballo was even-par through nine holes on Saturday when the third round of the Cartagena de Indias at Karibana Championship was suspended due to darkness.

Carballo led by two when the second round was completed earlier Saturday. He stands at 9-under par for the tournament.

Luke List was 3-under par through 11 holes of round three. He moved into a tie for second at minus-6 with Jamie Lovemark, who was 1-over par after nine holes.

Andrew Landry and Patton Kizzire share fourth place at minus-5. Landry was 2- under through 11 and Kizzire was even-par after nine holes at TPC Cartagena at Karibana.

Jhared Hack, Steve Allan and John Mallinger are tied for sixth place at minus-4. All three players had completed nine holes of the third round.

For the second straight day, high wind halted play. On Friday, the wind stopped play for the day, while on Saturday, players returned to the course after a two-hour, 32-minute stoppage. Play was later halted by darkness.

The third round will resume at 7 a.m. ET on Sunday with final round tee times slated to run from 8-10 a.m. Players will remain in the same groups for the final round.

Carballo finished his second round with birdies at the 14th and 18th to end at minus-9. In round three, he faltered out of the gate with a double-bogey at the first. Carballo bounced back with a birdie on the second.

The Argentine parred four in a row from the third. Carballo converted a birdie effort at the seventh to move to minus-9, where he was three clear of List and Lovemark.

Carballo tripped to a bogey at the par-5 eighth, but came right back with a birdie at the ninth before play was halted for the day.

"It's the same for everybody, but it's still difficult. My concentration wasn't very good on the first hole today, but now I'm much more focused on every shot," Carballo said. "Every hole is tough in this wind."

List, who was one of three players that were under-par for their third round, opened with birdies at two and four. He later birdied the eighth to move to minus-6. List parred three in a row before play was called.

Lovemark started round three with six consecutive pars. He faltered to a bogey at the seventh and parred his next two holes.

NOTES: Carballo has two Web.com Tour victories with the last coming at the 2011 Children's Hospital Classic ... The cut, which came at 2-over-par 146, was made earlier Saturday and 74 players moved on.
