Jalen Cannon scored 16 points with nine rebounds and Brent Jones added 16 points with four assists as St. Francis (N.Y.) fended off Liberty 65-54 on Saturday.

Cannon, Jones and Amdy Fall, with 14 points, scored the Terriers' (2-5) last nine points in the final 1:09 to blunt any comeback by the Flames (3-5), who had come as close as 56-52 on a Peter Moller basket with 95 seconds left.

Cannon, Jones and Fall made two foul shots each in those final moments and Fall added a three-point play.

Theo Johnson led the Flames with a season-high 11 points. Liberty played without leading scorer Tomasz Gielo, diagnosed with a stress reaction in his right foot. He's listed week-to-week.

Moller and Andrew Smith scored 10 each for Liberty. Smith fouled out with 1:29 to go.

It was a cold-shooting game, St. Francis making just 22 of 62 shots, Liberty 18 of 47.
