BRECLAV, Czech Republic - Canada's under-18 men's hockey team won the gold medal for the fourth consecutive year after a 4-1 victory over Sweden at the Ivan Hlinka memorial tournament Saturday.

The victory was even sweeter for Canada after the Swedes hammered Canada 5-1 in the teams' first game at the tournament.

Canada opened the scoring when Sean Monahan beat Swedish goalie Oscar Danish midway through the first period on the power play.

Calle Anderson evened the score 13:06 into the second, but Scott Laughton restored the lead three minutes later and the teams headed into the second intermission with Canada up a goal.

Brendan Gaunce gave Canada a two-goal advantage 40 seconds into the third period, before Charles Hudon added a fourth on the power play.
