According to numbers-crunchers, the Denver Broncos are in prime playoff position.
They've got a favorable 62 percent chance of getting a first-round bye, per numberFire . They also have a one-in-three chance (34 percent) of unseating the Cincinnati Bengals for the AFC's top seed.
That's where the statistical advantages end, though.
Denver's chances of an AFC Championship sit at a measly 18 percent. Their Super Bowl hopes are an even-worse six percent .
But those two numbers mean nothing. The Broncos are as well-equipped as any team to catch fire in the postseason and prove that data wrong.
