Brett Olson scored 15 points and dished out a career-high eight assists to lead Denver to a 79-60 win over New Orleans on Sunday.

Denver (3-2) never trailed in the game and took control midway through the first period with an 11-4 spurt that included a pair of 3-pointers from Nate Engesser and was capped by a 3 from Olson to make it 25-17 with 8:32 to go before the break. The Pioneers took a 42-31 advantage at halftime and continued to pull away in the second, shooting 54.7 percent and hitting 9 of 24 from long range.

Cam Griffin contributed 14 points, Engesser finished with 12 and Jalen Love had 11 in the win.

Both teams shot comparably from the floor but New Orleans (1-3) hit just 2 of 8 from 3-point range.

Colton Weisbrod led the Privateers with 17 points and five rebounds.
