Los Angeles, CA (SportsNetwork.com) - Mike Bolsinger fired eight innings of one-hit ball and the Los Angeles Dodgers blanked the San Diego Padres 2-0 in the second of a three-game set.

Yangervis Solarte's leadoff single to begin the game was the lone stain on Bolsinger's (3-0) impressive outing. He then induced a 4-6-3 double play off the bat of Cory Spangenberg and didn't allow another batter to reach base.

"I was locating my off-speed pitch. I stayed ahead of hitters," Bolsinger said.

Bolsinger struck out eight.

Joc Pederson, who was Friday's hero with a go-ahead single in the bottom of the eighth inning, smacked a solo homer for the Dodgers, who have won the first two games of the series on the heels of a 2-6 stretch.

Ian Kennedy (2-4) fanned six, but allowed two runs on six hits over six frames for San Diego, which has dropped seven of its last eight contests.

Los Angeles plated a run in the first and sixth innings.

Pederson's blast into the seats in right led off the home first. Adrian Gonzalez hit a two-out single in the sixth and scored on a Justin Turner double into to gap in left-center.

"He threw a good pitch, a high fastball to Pederson, but he got a hold of it," Padres manager Bud Black said.

Kenley Jansen tossed a scoreless ninth for his third save of the year.
