Bobcats exercise options on Biyombo and Walker
Charlotte, NC – The Charlotte Bobcats have exercised the third-year contract options on forward Bismack Biyombo and guard Kemba Walker, the team announced on Friday.
Biyombo was selected seventh overall in the 2011 NBA Draft by the Sacramento Kings before a three-team trade sent the Congo native to Charlotte, where he averaged 5.2 points, 5.8 rebounds and 1.8 blocks over 63 games -- including 41 starts -- during his rookie campaign.
Walker, who the Bobcats selected two picks later, appeared in 66 games as a rookie last season and averaged 12.2 points, 4.4 assists and 3.5 rebounds.
