The Toronto Blue Jays placed outfielder Jose Bautista and infielder David Cooper on the 15-day disabled list following Saturday's 8-2 loss to the Baltimore Orioles at Camden Yards.

Bautista started the game in right field and had one at-bat before leaving in the third inning with discomfort in his left wrist. The same wrist that caused him to go on the DL on June 16. The slugger has played just 92 games this season for Toronto and is hitting .241 with 27 home runs and 65 RBI.

Cooper, 25, has not played since a 3-2 loss to the Detroit Tigers on August 22 due to a back injury. In 45 games for the Jays this season, Cooper is hitting .300 with four home runs and 11 RBI.

To fill the roster spots, Toronto has recalled infielders Adam Lind and Adeiny Hechavarria from Triple-A Las Vegas.

Lind, 28, has played in 58 games for the Blue Jays this season and has a .227 average to go with eight home runs and 27 RBI. Hechavarria is hitting .179 with a pair of RBI in 14 games this season for the major league club.
