Columbus, OH – The Blue Jackets have assigned defenseman David Savard to Springfield of the American Hockey League.
Savard, 21, made his NHL debut October 7 and has played in seven games for Columbus. He has tallied two assists and six penalty minutes.
The Blue Jackets selected Savard in the fourth round of the 2009 draft.
