The season is all but over for the Buffalo Bills as they've been eliminated from playoff contention with two games remaining. Sunday's loss to the Washington Redskins solidified that, and also led to a great deal of controversy and frustration between the coaching staff and players.
Mario Williams, for one, doesn't believe the coaching staff has held players accountable enough given the defense's struggles this season. He also voiced his opinion on needing to take a pay cut to remain in Buffalo next year, putting that idea to rest.
Following Williams' comments about scheme and accountability, defensive back Corey Graham called him out and essentially told him to do his job and do what he's asked.
Here's what he said, via Matthew Fairburn of Syracuse.com:
Graham wasn't attacking Williams, but more so telling him to focus on the game and not the coaches. Williams has recorded just four sacks, so he's clearly someone who can afford to improve his numbers given his expensive contract. He's an important part of the Bills' pass rush and defense and in order to get pressure on the quarterback, he needs to make that happen off the left side.
With two games remaining, the Bills have to come together and play as a team -- something they haven't done on defense lately. With "drastic changes" supposedly coming from Ryan, these final games will be important for several players -- Williams included.
