Ajaccio, France (SportsNetwork.com) - Monaco postponed PSG's title celebrations for another day as Dimitar Berbatov scored a brace to give the club a 4-1 win against already-relegated Ajaccio.
Following a scoreless first half, Berbatov brought the match to life by scoring twice to stake Monaco to a 2-0 lead.
Junior Tallo pulled a goal back for the home side 15 minutes from time, but Monaco sealed the win with goals from Geoffrey Kondogbia and Lucas Ocampos in the final few minutes.
A loss for Monaco on Saturday would have handed PSG its second straight title, but after a nervy first 45 minutes for Monaco that failed to produce a goal, Berbatov opened the scoring in the 52nd with a close-range header from Joao Moutinho's left-wing cross.
Berbatov doubled his total in the 74th when he finished off a nice move involving Emmanuel Riviere and James Rodriguez, while Ajaccio's Tallo scored against the run of play one minute later with a fantastic volley.
Monaco restored its two-goal lead in the 87th when Kondogbia was left unmarked inside the penalty area and slotted a shot past goalkeeper Guillermo Ochoa.
Ocampos capped the scoring in stoppage time when he arrived at the back post to knock the ball past Ochoa from Nabil Dirar's right-wing cross.
PSG will have the clinch to clinch the title on Sunday with a win at relegation-battling Sochaux.
St Etienne closed to within four points of third-place Lille with a 2-1 win at Evian behind goals from Benjamin Corgnet and Loic Perrin in the first 15 minutes.
Guingamp claimed three huge points with a 1-0 win over Valenciennes in an important relegation clash as a 61st-minute goal from Claudio Beauvue was the difference. The win moves Guingamp five points clear of the relegation places with three matches remaining, while Valenciennes is all but assured of being relegated.
Goals from Karim Ait Fana and Remy Cabella in the final 11 minutes lifted Montpellier to a 2-1 comeback win against Toulouse, Nice topped Reims, 1-0, with a goal from Valentin Eysseric in the 49th minute, and Rennes played to a 1-1 draw with Lorient.
